Day 1 - Travel Day and Settling in
After we arrived, we went through the long process of checking our bags in and going through security but we did make a few friends while waiting. We met Bonnie the police dog who was very calm and friendly and we also met a robot cleaner which Helen named purple. In amongst all this we also got our neckers if we didn't already have one and learnt how to twist and knot them. Soon after we did a sound off and had a pep talk before everyone went off in there separate groups to buy food and look around the shops. Then we all gathered back together and boarded the plane.

The plane was 2hours and 40 minutes long and we were given some water and a sandwich (for free) while on the plane.
Once we landed,we went through security and went to get our baggage. After that, we met our tourist guide called Milos (our coach driver was also called called Milos and apparently it is a very popular name in Serbia), he talked to us about the history of certain buildings and his English was very good. His information varied from population size to economics, the ottoman empire to neo classical architecture. Did you know that Belgrade is home to the largest basketball arena in Europe seating 23,000 people! Serbia have also held championship titles in basketball.
We are ending the day by eating some delicious pizza and playing games with our friends. We also went on a lovely walk to visit the surrounding architecture and see how brilliant the art was on the walls of Belgrade. We all agree we had an amazing day today and can't wait to see what is in store for us tomorrow.

Sounds fun but exhausting! Enjoy your day today and look forward to hearing all about it x
